What radiant barrier does
A radiant barrier is a reflective material installed in the attic to reduce radiant heat transfer from the roof assembly toward the attic floor and living space. It is considered as part of the whole attic—not a substitute for proper insulation or airflow.
What we look at
- Evaluate roof and attic conditions
- Confirm whether the home is a good candidate
- Plan around existing ventilation
- Install for effective reflective performance
Why it matters
On sunny summer days, roof surfaces can transfer significant heat into the attic. A properly planned radiant barrier may help reduce that radiant load.
