What air sealing does
Air sealing targets openings around plumbing and electrical penetrations, framing transitions, attic hatches and other leakage paths. It complements insulation: sealing slows unwanted airflow while insulation slows heat transfer.
What we look at
- Inspect common attic leakage points
- Seal accessible cracks and penetrations
- Weather-strip appropriate attic openings
- Coordinate sealing with insulation work
Why it matters
Even a well-insulated attic can underperform when air moves freely around or through it. Sealing the bypasses first helps the insulation above do its intended job.
